Remembering Ralph Gleason

It's hard to believe that 40 years ago today Ralph Gleason passed away. Not only was he the co-founder of the Monterey Jazz Festival with Jimmy Lyons, he was the first #jazz critic in the U.S. Mainstream media for the San Francisco Chronicle beginning in 1949.
